Founded in 1995, Deer Jet operates under the subsidiary parent company of Hainan Airlines group. In 1998, the company became the first Chinese member of the NBAA, the world's number one business aviation association.

In 2005, Deer Jet made yet another breakthrough in Chinese business aviation history as it became the first operator to provide aircraft management with China.
